Will dated 8 Sep 1703, Blockley, Philadelphia, PA; Will proved 18 Oct 1706 (Philadelphia Will Book C, p.51) It is thought that William Warner left England for America about 1658. Tradition has it that William was a captain under Oliver Cromwell and had to leave England when Cromwell died, to escape the wrath of King Charles II. Appointed as Justice of Chester County, PA 13 Sep 1681. William was also a member of the second Provincial Assembly, which met at Philadelphia 10 Mar 1683/84.
