John Horner was a follower of George Fox, a Quaker, and was much persecuted.
Immigration: 1 Nov 1683. Ship: New Providence. Arrived with wife and four children and 10 servants. In 1684 John Horner purchased from William Black the White Hill property of 200 acres on the Delaware River. Horner Mansion became State Industrial School. Will: 27 Apr 1689, Burlington County, New Jersey
