Fred was apparently about 7 months old during the 1885 census so must have been born in 1884 or 1885.(says 1886).On 1910 Census he was listed as a switchmand for the railroad. In 1919 obituary it said 12 years before he came to Hutchinson where he took up the milling trade and was with the Reno Flour Mills at the time of his death. He was only ill 5 days when he died

Could have been born in Pratt, Pratt, Kansas, Usa according to Jean Suman's records. Mother and Daughter die: Last evening at 9 o'clock occurred the death of Mrs Cora Dressler at her home. Just one hour later little Maxine, age 5 also passed away. Both were victims of pneumonia to which the father an d husband Fred Dressler succumbed on Thursday night. Two other children, Mildred age 8 and little Jack, 4 years old, are also very l.ow and not expected to live.

on 1920 census Mildred was listed as living with her grandparents after apparently her mom and dad and brother and sister had all died about the same time from pneumonia during the great flu epidemic in 1919 (sad)She was listed as attending school.
