                   BIOGRAPHY: Charles Feake (according to the Book:"David Roe of Flushing, New York and Some of his Descendants" (2nd Edition) Published 1926 Microfiche G5456...was a brother of the noted American painter, Robert Feake (Feke).  Hannah Feake, sister of Mary's great-grandfather, had married John Browne of Flushing, a pioneer in the cause of religious freedom. He was a shopjoiner or cabinet maker.  He was one of the nearly 1300 men who signed the Long Island loyalist petition on Oct 21 1776.

BIOGRAPHY: She was probably a member of the Baptist Church when she was married. Hannah Feake, sister of Mary's great-grandfather, had married John Browne of Flushing, a pioneer in the cause of religious freedom. Her ancestors had been members of the Society of Friends but her grandfather had been converted to the Baptist faith and had served afterward as a lay preacher at Oyster Bay.  She was probably a member of the Baptist Church when she was married.
