had 13 children including Richard Lewis Bagby (1841-1900) who marriedMartha Jane

Elizabeth? because marriage to Elizabeth Penick was ins 1797 (15 yrsafter he was born.

a very unusual thing happened several years ago.  Mr. Jim Vance wasfishing on the river
bank when a large section of the river bank gave way.  Mr. Vance laterobserved that the earthslide had uncovered an old tombstone which hadbeen buried under about six feet of soil.  The inscription on thestone read: Robert Bagby, Sr., died in 1827 in his 45th year.
So he could have been born in 1782?

Robert appears from his last will and testament to have been areligious man.. He said "Nothing doubting that at the lastresurrection I shall receive the same body agian by the mighty powerof God...The will is under "Bagley"???
