                   Mrs. Pollyanna Smith Warren, age 92, a resident of the Oaks, formerly of Jonesboro, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2009. She was born August 13, 1916 in Newnan, Georgia the daughter of the late Effie Bridges Smith and Percy M. Smith. Mrs. Warren was a homemaker as well as a member of Trinity Community Church, the Protestant Womens Fellowship, had served as a Sunday school teacher and the Sunday school superintendent at the Base Chapel and had also served as a Girl Scout leader. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Warren; granddaughter, Alicia Warren and 6 siblings. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Jimmy & Nina Warren of Whitesburg and Gwen & Paul Bunch of Forest Park, Ga.; brother, Wynn Smith of Atlanta; also grandchildren, Paul Warren, Megan & Trey Taylor & Maggie Bunch. A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, July 9, 2009 at 2 PM from Sharpsburg Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Floyd Carmack officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan Together, 1000 Main St., Forrest Park, Ga., 30297. Messages of condolences may be made the family at www.martin-hightower.com.
