    apparent of Robert Taliaferro late of the County of Rappahannock...
    for as much as my said deced. father jointly with Lawrence Smith of
    the County of Glocester did take up and patent 6300 acres of land
    scituate...in the County of Rappahhanock beginning at the mouth of
    Snow Creek on the South side of Rappahannock...by patent dated 26th
    March 1666...my said deced. father and the said Lawrence Smith...
    under their hands recorded in Glocester County Court 16th May 1667...
    did oblidge themselves...that if either of them should happen to dye
    before Division the heirs of him soe dying should have equal right
    and propriety with the survivor:  NOW KNOW YE that I the sd Francis
    Taliaferro...in consideration of the mutual love and affection which
    I bear unto my dear Brother John Taliaferro of the aforesaid County
    of Rappahannock...and for the future advancement of my said brother
    (he being Intended by the permission of Almighty God to Marry with
    Sarah the daughter of said Lawrence Smith) and for other...cause me
    thereunto moving have given...and forever confirm unto my said
    brother John Taliaferro his hieres and assigns 1000 acres of land
    being part of the above sd divident..to begin at the fork of Snow

    said brothers...their heirs and assigns 1600 acres of Land part of
    thr above said 6300 acres...bounded with lines of the upper corner of
    John Taliaferro's land by me to him conveyed by deed of equal date..
    it is the intent and meaning of these presents that if either of my
    said Brothers should happen to dye before they attaine to the age of
    21 years...then the above 1600 acres shall be and remaine unto the
    survivor..When Richard shall come to age...and desire Division..he
    shall have his first choice...28th September 1682.
