It is also stated on his death certificate that he worked for a lamp shade factory for many years. He is believed to be Roman Catholic. He died from Carcinoma of the stomach. He is buried in All Saints Cemetery in Leyden, Illinois. He had grey hair at the age of 25 according to Adam and Joseph Skiba. At the age of 62, he is described as 5 feet 5 inches, medium complexion, grey hair, blue eyes.
This information documented on records sent to me by Ray Skiba. She was a housewife all her life. She was a large woman about 5 feet 10 inches and 200 plus pounds according to Adam and Joseph Skiba. She died from chronic Myocarditis. She is buried in All Saints Cemetery in Leyden, Illinois.

Detroit MI. On some records, he is listed as "Jan". In 1925 at age 44, he is described a medium height, blond hair with grey eyes. He worked for the Canadian National Railroad while the family lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada in 1905/08. The family left Winnipeg for Minneapolis, Minnesota in August 1908. Source: Adam Skiba. He worked as a laborer in laundries in Chicago and Detroit. The laundry in Chicago was in an orphanage. At the time of his death, he was working as a custodian for a small factory. It is said that he was so upset at the death of his wife, that he walked from the cemetery in his shirt sleeves and had to be found. This was in December of 1928 in Leamington Canada. According to Adam Skiba, Walter married a woman with 3 or 4 children. He worked as a cook for various lumber camps in the state of Washington.
I got the death date from the SS Death Index. He obviously changed his name from Dawiskiba to Skiba. He worked as a boiler operator for the same laundry that his brother Charlie worked as a foreman. He death certificate lists his occupation as maintainence in a laundry. Cause of death is listed as Arteriosclerotic Heart Disease. He had a heart problem for three to four years before his death.
