                       We need to research more thoroughly for more ancestors now that the Soviet
    Union no longer exisits and freedom to obtain records is feasible.  The
    spelling of Michael's birth place is  given as per Dan Schlyter in the SLC
    Family History Library.  He was buried in the Elmwood Cemetary in Chicago.  He
    and his 2nd wife, Caroline were married in St. Joseph's Church in Chicago.

                       She was buried in Elmwood Cemetary in Chicago.  On the 1910 Census, she is
    listed as 32 years old, her daughter, my Grandam Krauss, gave me her birth date
    as 1876.   I have used this date but will try to verify further.  She was never
    called Caroline but rather was known as Lena.

                       She always went by "Lena".  Her life's history was tape recorded by
    grandaughter, Nancy Eileen Skiba Shay. She was christened and married in St.
    Michael's Church, Chicago, Illinois.  She never used the name Louise.

                       Elizabeth was only known as Elsie; to the extent that my Mother was named
    after her, Ruth Elsie.  I remember her most for her distinctive voice; a
    beautiful combination of Chicago and hint of German accent.  I always loved to
    hear her speak.
