NOTES: 1. Was a full blooded Indian. 2. Obituary Notice: Rev. Abbott Thomas Jim, 85, Caney, died May 2, 1992 in Atoka when struck by a train. A retired State Capitol policeman and minister, he was born at Bentley on February 22, 1907 and was the son of Robert Thomas Jim and Sophia Homer Jim. He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church, and also a member of the Choctaw and Chickasaw Association. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sophia Homer Jim and his father, Robert Thomas Jim. Funeral services were conducted Monday, May 4 at l0 a.m. at the Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Coolidge Cooley officiating. Burial was in the Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Atoka Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Flora Ella Jim, of the home; two sons, John Andrew Jim of Ada, and Lester Delroe Jim, Stringtown; three daughters, Omarine Joyce Erikson, San Orenzo, Calif., Rosie Mae Simon, Paramount, Calif., and Joann Mae Ramos, Middleton, Texas; 28 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Honorary pallbearers were Lynn Taylor, Rodney Taylor, Kerry Jim, Gary Jim, Gary Simon, Jesse Contreras.
