    Typewritten Obituary of LEWIS EDWARD HAINES

    youngest son of Jonathan Monroe and Mary A. Waterston Haines, was born on
    December 8, 1887, and died at the place of his birth, March 5, 1934, at the age
    of 46 years, 2 months, and 27 days.

    On August 8, 1912 he was united in marriage with Miss Ida Janette Bauer. To
    this union were born eight children: Merrill W.; Gladys Leona; Walter Lester;
    Loretta T.; Lewis Edward, Jr.; Forrest B.; Harrold C.; and Laura Jeanne; all of
    them at home.

    Besides the bereaved wife and children, there remain to mourn their loss, two
    brothers, Alexander and Emerson Haines; one sister, Mrs. Hattie Briner; and
    other relatives, friends, and neighbors.

    He was secretary of the Live Stock Co-operative Shipping Association; a
    director of the Farm Bureau; and a member of the Gleaners Society of Ansley
    Arbor.

    He was a man of exemplary character, honored and respected by friends and
    neighbors. A devoted and faithful husband, a loving father, a good brother, a
    loyal friend, a kind and helpful neighbor,---he will be missed by all who knew
    him.
