                   Note: Robert Rose and Margery  and eight children came to America on the ship 'Francis' from Ipswich, England,in 1634,  possibly having been from Elmswell, Suffolk, England.  They had two children after arriving in America, namely, Jonathan and Hannah. Their daughter, Mary died after they arrived. Margery died before 1644.     He married Elizabeth, in 7 June 1644, who was a widow of John POTTER, having had children John, Hanna, and Samuel, and 2nd, was widow of  Edward PARKER, having had children John, Hope, and Lydia. Robert Rose died a few months after their marriage.
     Robert Rose was active in the affairs of the town and served on many committees and was a tax
collecter.  His will and testament was made 25 August 1664 and proved 4 February 1665.
