Arthur MOORE

                   OBITUARY:
    EDNA   E. ALGYRE-LINDBLOM, the daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth Johnson Moore, was born February 2, 1905 in Le Grand, Iowa. She attended school in Le Grand, and was a lifetime member of the Le Grand Friends Church. Edna was employed as a Defense Plant worker in Ankeny, Iowa, during World War II. She had devoted her life to her husband, children and family. Edna was united in marriage with Everett C. Algyre on August 11, 1933 in Marshalltown, Iowa. Everett preceded her in death. On October 5, 1989, Edna was united in marriage to Elmer Lindblom in Newton, Iowa. A longtime resident of the Newton and Jasper County, Iowa areas, Edna moved to the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, in 1981. Death came to Edna on Wednesday morning, November 12, 1997 at the Iowa Veterans Home; she was 92 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Everett; her son, Donald D. Schomer; three brothers; and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton with the Rev. Mike Johnson, pastor of the Christian Church in Kellogg, officiating. Burial will be at the Friends Cemetery in Le Grand. Memorials in Edna's name will be accepted at the funeral home. Those left to honor Edna's memory include her husband, Elmer of Marshalltown; her son, Earl W. Schomer of Newton; her daughter, Arleen, Mrs. Paul Cushatt of Reasnor, Iowa; her 8 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; her brother, Eugene Moore of Provo, Utah; her sister, Wanda Pratt of Chariton, Iowa; and her half-sister, Mary Jane Fink of Newton.
