    1. Clarence Bartlett, his family established themselves in Daviess and Ohio Counties KY, in the days when the American Republic was being brought to fruition, after the Revolutionary War.
    2. Clarence Bartlett, attended public school in Daviess and Ohio County KY - He studied later at Western Kentucky State Teachers College at Boioling Green graduated 1918 - He was granted life teacher's certificate. He taught school in Ohio County, KY 1914,1915 & 1917 while he was preparing to be a Judge. 1923, he held his first public office of City Attorney of Hartford, he was 28 years of age.  today he is a Judge, was also one of the head men of Knights of Pythias of the Hartford Chamber of Commeres Ohio County, Republican Organization , also active in Christian Church, Singer in Famous Bartlett Quartet.
    3. Mrs. Marion Nicholls parents got his address on a trip to Kentucky ; Clarence Bartlett,302 Masonic Building, Owensboro,KY ( around the corner from the courthouse, his Dale lived next door(he was the Sheriff at that time.) 
    4.  Mrs. A.R. Himes (Tichenor was her maiden name) she was in charge of Ohio County, records in Hartford, KY
   5.  Wife Willye or Willie Lorene Hoover Bartlett was also active in Christian Church
