NOTES:
    1. Levi Bartlett - parents moved to Ohio when he was two months old, his mother carried him on her lap on horseback.
    2. He was a stong active man - 5 feet 9 inches tall weighing about 200 pounds. loved books and study - Becames a teacher - was County surveyor. In 1852 A representative of Legislature at his death- owned one of the finest farms in the state.  Land surveyor - successful and prosperous farmer.
    3. Levi Bartlett riding along and his horse became frightened and he was trown  from his buggy and injured - he died three days later.
    4. Bother Levi and wife Maria are both buried in the Oak Grove Cemetery Marriett, OH
    5. Wife Maria Dickey Bartlett - was medium size and had a pleasant disposition. 
    6. Maria Dickey's father Solomon dickey born London county, VA - her mother Margaret Dizon jwas born in County Down, Ireland. Her grandfather was John Dixon.

    1. Doctor Jeremiah C. Bartlett of Manchester, OH (Marietta, OH); notable and skillful physician. He studied at the University of OH (at Athens); graduated from the Medical College of OH at Cincinnati, March 1865, and from Dept. of Medicine & of Analytical and Applied Chemistry, of the University of  MI-1868. Taught school & practiced medicine in Canton, OH. He supplied info of the descendants of Jeremiah & Amos who immigrated from RI to OH 1806.

    1. Henry C. Bartlett was with the 63rd Regiment O.V.I. (not sure of the meaning), was with it in all it's engagements; carried the regimental flag for three years; was never absent from duty or sick; as jos cp,rades expressed it, "He was the bravest of the brave." He went to Georgetown, Colorado in 1869 - in 1880 was still living there.
