Levi Bartlett - parents moved to Ohio when he was two months old, his mother carried him on her lap on horseback. 2. He was a stong active man - 5 feet 9 inches tall weighing about 200 pounds. loved books and study - Becames a teacher - was County surveyor. In 1852 A representative of Legislature at his death- owned one of the finest farms in the state. Land surveyor - successful and prosperous farmer. 3. Levi Bartlett riding along and his horse became frightened and he was trown from his buggy and injured - he died three days later. 4. Bother Levi and wife Maria are both buried in the Oak Grove Cemetery Marriett, OH 5. Wife Maria Dickey Bartlett - was medium size and had a pleasant disposition. 6. Maria Dickey's father Solomon dickey born London county, VA - her mother Margaret Dizon jwas born in County Down, Ireland. Her grandfather was John Dixon.
