NOTES:    1. Samuel was a Constable; Justice of Peace; Treasurer;
               held office `til he died. He was elected to General Assembly
               - Legislature of Rhode Island; served several terms; served
               with Jeb Bartlett. An extensive farmer - also did large
               Blacksmithing Business. When his father died he made admini-
               strator. His homestead was near the other Bartletts at
               Senechetaconn__(sp?)
            2. Child #1 died at Ft. William Henry; died while a soldier
               during the French & Indian War. (Lake George)
