NOTES: In Michigan husb had a business of making shingles. He had several
farms and became "well to do". Shuler Bartlett was a successful Indian trader.
The Indians liked him and sold their last 80 acres when they moved away. In
1850 husb and a son moved to MI; owned hotel in Waterboro. Husb & wife were
md by Jarrus Nash.

NOTES: 
    1.  Byron B. Bartlett, known as "BYE" a large husky man, threw several Indianas out of his house.
    2. 1871 Fire distroyed every home in town, Bye Bartlett home was the only one standing.
    3. When Byron Bartlett and son Charles first landed in Forestville, there were no roads in Huron County.  Instead of travel on land, they traveled up and down the lake in little boats in summer and on ice by sleigh in winter.  There were a few Indian trails.
