    4. The following was taken from the above book - By Alden G. Beaman. " The surname Arnold is unclear in the original Exeter record; they copy made by J. N. Arnold is in error. . . The original Exeter marriage record read. . . `Thomas Wilcox and Abigail Eanold(unclear) daughter of Rachel Osbund all of Exeter in the County of Kings county were lawfully marry the 3rd day of March AD 1744' The author feels that the unclear word Eanold is probably Arnold or at least some other proper noun rather than an adjective as has been suggested by some researchers."
