After the death of Jacob Bidwell, Sarah lived with son Timothy in Coventry, NY until her death.

Jacob Bidwell was a farmer. 2. Jacob and Martha moved to Sidney Center, NY as the first permanent white settlers there. They were admitted to the Baptist Chruch of Christ in Franklin, Delaware Co, NY in 1802.

He was a constable and tax collector at Watertown, Ct for a number of years he was a Deacon in his church. He was also a lumber dealer 3. (page 11) son Chauncey Bidwell identified with the interests of Seth Thomas in the clock factory ther over 50 years - a familiar and commanding figure on horseback on the streets in later years.

Timothy Biedwell - lived at Coventry, Chenango, NY from 1807 to 1839 all of his children were born there. They later, moved to Woodstock, McHenry, Il. He was a member of the Colonial and State Troopers from New York. they were members of 2nd Congregational Church in Coventry, NY in 1824 and after moving to Woodstock, joined 1st Congregational Church there. He was a Township Judge of Center Township, McHenry County, IL in 1850. This family is llisted in the 1850 Federal Census.

Charles Bidwell left home at age 16 to seek his fortune. He went to Robertson County, TN. He had only .50 cents in his pocket and not even a change of clothing. An old hunter and his wife let him live in a furnished cabin - free of rent. He started a Common laborer, educated himself, then taught school, later began a business for a large Nashville firm. He accumdated a large estate, at the time of his death he had 11,000 acres of land and owned 30 slaves. [1a] Quote from the above book 'American Ancestry' - "Charles Bidwell of Nashville, TN - let home at age 16 to seek his fortune, educated himself, taught school, accumulated a handsome estate for those days - served as Major of Tennessee Militia at the Battle of New Orleans." 2. He did not join a church - was an active zealous Wig. he never sought Office and served in the 'War of 1812' as a Second Lieutenant. 3. His wife Martha Binkley was married before to John Shaw and they had three children.
He married Sarah Belden 31 Dec 1764 at West Hartford, Hartford, Connecticut . Sarah Belden was born at West Hartford, Hartford, Connecticut 20 Jun 1748 .
