Daniel and Rachel Bidwell moved from Stillwater, NY to PA, then between 1800 to 1810 to KY, and later still onto Carmi, White Co., IL. 2. Daniel Bidwell was a Sgt. in the Revolutionary War. 3. Daniel Bidwell also had a claim for 160 acres in NY on the Susquehanna River.

Abram Bidwell on his tombstone his first given name is Abraham. 2. He was in the Lumber Business in Montreal, Canada in 1812. 3. When the 'War of 1812' began, Abram and his son David were drafted into the British Armey, to effect his escape, rescue David, and get back into the State of New York, was a thrilling episode in his life. His 1st wife died while he was separated from her in Canada. 4. After his second marriage they lived in Chautauqa County, New York, where his son John was born. Then he moved to Erie, PA and then to Ashtabula County, OH and finally Drake County, OH, He intended when his circumstances would allow him to reunite his family, but he could not do so during his lifetime. finally he moved to Van Buren,Hancock, Ohio where he died.
