    1. Barnabas Bidwell of Monterey -lived at Stockbridge,MA - Treasurer - Berkshire - Attorney General of Massachusetts - In Congress - from Massachusetts - Had difficulites with the Bank.
    2. He gradcuated from Yale 1785, Tutor at Yale 1787 to 1790.  In 1792 he was a member of Connecticut Society of promotion of freedom, was a Playwright - studied Law - admitted to the Bar - 1791 - Originally a staunch Federalist - He gradually modified his views and emerged as a strong Jeffersoniap Republican.  Be became a target for abuse by opponets. Accused of theft while Treasurer, he went to Canada.  He hoped to build a new reputation - It failed. (His son had same problem)
    3. He died and is buried in Kingston, Plymouth, MA - his wife Mary Gray Bidwell is buried at the Sedgwick Cemetery in Stockbridge, Berkshire, MA
