Ephraim Bidwell lived in Glastonbury, CT 2. He died of smallpox which he got from his son Joseph Bidwell which he caught while he was in the army. 3. Probate record #495 - Ephraim is mentioned in Chapin's History of Glastonbury 25 April 1757. 4. Ephraim Bidwell is buried near his house in Glastonbury, C T
NOTES: 1. Joseph Bidwell 'Never Married' - 2. He served as Soldier in the Revolutionary War - captured by the enemy died on return from captivity at Milford , CT.

Book #929.1AM - American Ancestry - vol.#9 (pages 3-4) - found at Orlando, FL Public LIbrary. NOTES: 1. Allen Bidwell of Langdon, NY - he enlisted the 21 April 1779 for service on the ship "Oliver Cromwell". He later applied for a pension (#W-18600) for his service durning the Revolutionary War. In 1808 he and his wife moved to Charlestown, New Hampshire - later moved to Langdon, Sullivan, New Hampshisre and died there. He fell from a load of grain and broke his back, and Anna Wood Bidwell became totally blind for a number of years before her death.
