NOTE:  Had many years of useful public service. He left the farm and went to
Concord - worked in NH, hospital for the insane - 12 yrs (1862-1874). Feb 1879
- became superintendent of the Brooklyn Hospital (NY) stayed there 20 yrs -
left in June 1899. Moved back to Pittsfield, NH and lived on Fair View Road -
in a beautiful new home. Over looked the village of Pittsfield - Lives quite
life - close to nature. A Gentleman of Culture.
