NOTE:  A Selectman - A Magistrate - 1746 & 1747 - in Douglass. At one time he
lived in Sutton, MA. It has been inferred that this town was named in
compliment to him, it being the earlier name of the Dudleys of Dudley Castle,
England. Code (B18) is - Mrs. Earl Barhurst - Postville, IA, 52162
NOTES FROM BACK:  He removed to Littleton in 1714. Was town Clerk there 1716 -
1717. Then removed to Sutton, MA - about 1728.
1. Lieutenant of the train band
2. First representative to general court
3. Had front row seat in the Church
4. Held many offices and appointments until 1737 - name then disappears from
Sutton records.
In 1745 - He was of Douglas, MA. Had four wives - 14 children found in records.
