NOTES:
      1. Edward Carrington's great grandfather, William Cabell 1750-1803, was captain of minute men 1776 and rose to the rank of colonel. He was on Lafayette' staff in VA. and at the surrender of Cornwallis. he represented his country in House of delegates, 1783. He was a member of the Cincinnati. (see also #2647).
      2. Edward Carrington's great grandfather George Carrington 1711-1785, was chairman of the committee of safety of Cumberland Co. and a member of the convention 1774-6. His sons, Paul , Joseph, Edward & Mayo served through war (see also #9897).
      3. Anna Maria Wilcox grandfather, George Wilcox 1761- 1818, served in Virginia Militia- died in Missouri.
      4. Anna Maria Wilcox great grandfather, Hugh Moss served from Goochland Co,at Brandywine, Germantown and Valley Forge. He died from effects of wounds and exposure in March 1780.
      5. Anna Maria Wilcox great grandfather Josiah Woodson served in Virginia militia. He moved to KY. in 1804 and died in Mason Co. KY. 1817.
      6. Anna Maria Wilcox great great grandfather, John Woodson was a member of the conventions 1774-76. He died 1790 in Goochland Co.
      7. Anna Maria Wilcox great great grandfather, Matthew Woodson served as chaplain of the first regiment.
