NOTES:  1. Reared in Southington Prior to Civil War - worked as pattern maker in the old Plant shop in Plantsville.  8 August 1862. he enlisted   became a Private in Company E#, 20th Connecticut V.I. was with
   Sherman and marched to the sea - Discharged 13 June 1865.  Became a  contractor and builder.
