Marion Nicholls is a great granddaughter  of Walter Eli Wilcox, who was a polygamist.  He did a lot of genealogy work and would go to Logan to do the Temple work.  Two of his wives (Amanda & Maria) would go with him and would record the work done in their books.  Thus, the work was recorded in duplicate.  In the back of one of book was recorded the Life Story of Walter Eli Wilcox. These books werehanded down to Marion by the family genealogist when she reached the age whereshe could nnot continue the work.  This was Maude Allen, whose name is found frequently as a source on our sheets.  Many of our Family Group Sheets were made using the  information tfrom these books.  The books, and other valuable genealogical inforamtion, were placed in an antique trunk and were stored in a public storage unit while our home was being built.  Professional thieves broke into the unit, replaced the lock, and stole the trunk, along with many other items storedthere.  As a result, we cannot verify the accuracy of the information on these Family Group Sheets.  We have notifed the Church Historian's office of the loss and were told that many times this type of record will be found and turned in.  They have notified their people out in the field to watch for it, and they are watching in their office.
