                      Phillip Peter Scholl took the Oath of Allegiance in Philadelphia, PA, April 1764.  He was at that time a resident of Maxatawny Twp, Berks Co. PA.
Phillip, and his second wife, Elizabeth Catherine, and at least two children are said to have sailed to America no later than the summer of 1750.

   (Research):Phillip received a Land Patent which states: "Whereas upon the application and request of Phillip Scholl of Reading in the county of Berks in the year 1751, we did permit him to take up a certain Lot of ground situate in our said Town of Reading, marked in the general plan of the said Town No. 346, in order to build thereon one substantial dwelling house of twenty feet square at least, with good brick or stone chimney, and to improve the same within the space of three years then next, agreeable to the said plan and regulations fixt for the building the said town, under the yearly rent of seven Schillings Sterling money of Great Britain to us and our heirs forever.  And the said Lot was accordingly surveyed and laid out for the said Phillip Scholl as by your survey thereof appears:  And Whereas the said Phillip Scholl having since erected on the said Lot a dwelling house of the dimensions and in manner aforesaid, he now humbly requests us to grant unto him our Patent of confirmation for the said Lot of ground, etc." In 1755 he purchased 129 acres and 96 perches in Bershire Twp, Northampton Co., PA from John Yeakle.  He sold this same land, 5 Jan 1757 to George Welker of Upper Hanover Twp., Philadelphia Co., PA for the amount of 54 pounds, two shillings, two pence.  In this deed Phillip was called a miller.  A short time later on 7 May 1757 his name was on a petition along with other people living within a four mile radius of Ft Franklin in Brunswick Township, requesting that the fort be made better to protect them from invasion of Indians.  Phillip purchased Lot 285 in Reading, PA.  At this time he was living in Exeter, Berks, PA.  He purchased 130 acres in Alsace Twp., Berks, PA on 20 Dec 1763.  He purchased 47 acres, 56 perches in Maxatawny, 24 Jan 1764. This was sold 5 July 1766.  On 25 July 1768 Phillip sold 131 acres in Alsace Township.  Phillip purchased 100 acres and a grist mill on 22 Jan 1771 from John Yeakle and his wife Susanna.  This was in Marlborough Twp.  He sold the 100 acres he had purchased from John and Susanna on 28 Aug 1773 to Adam Whitman and John Bishop, both of Berks Co., PA.  On that same day in Aug 1773, he sold 70 acres, 53 perches in Maxatawny Twp.
Philip's religion was Lutheran.

                      FTM shows Peter b. Jan 11, 1761 in Frederick Co. MD; d. Nov 22, 1834, Henderson Co., KY.
Records show that the spelling of his name was changed from Peter Scholl to Peter Shull and this is the spelling that his descendants use.  His Revolutionary War Pension Application states he was born in Maryland.
Internet shows Peter is buried in White Co., IL.  His grave is marked as a Revolutionary War Patriot. (Affadavit of son Peter Shull).
Peter  Shull served as a Private in the American Revolution in the winter of 1777 and 1778.  At this time he was residing in McAllister, York, PA.  Peter served two months in Capt Frederick Cutts Company; two months in Capt Celwin's Company in Col Albright's Regiment; two months under Maj Bailey guarding prisoners and six and a half months in Capt Patton's Company which was in Col Rubley's Regiment.  After the war Peter resided for three or four years in York Co., PA.  Probably in German Twp.  He moved to Maryland, and lived about eleven miles from Ft Cumberland for two and a half years.  Hen then moved to Fayette Co., PA and lived there for seven years.

   (Research):While in Fayette Co., PA, Peter filed this deed:  Peter Shull, et ux. to Alexander McClelland, August 20, 1796...Peter Shull of Spring Hill Twp, Fayette Co., PA, yeoman, for 48 pounds lawful money of PA, to me paid by Alexander McClellan, merchant, make over all my improvement and tract of land betwixt the line of Joseph Yager, Isaac Philips, and Robert Huste, being part of tract formerly held by widow Stillwell's claim.  (Signed by) Peter Shull, Dorothy (her mark) Shull (Deed Book C, page 874, Union Town).  Kentucky Land Grants show Peter received 200 acres in 1799, on three separate occasions:  October 14th; October 19th; and October 30th.  They were for land on Pond River, Muhlenberg, KY.  Other grants to Peter were:  50 acres on 24 Mar 1822; 160 acres on 25 May 1834.  His son Peter was granted 100 acres on 21 Nov 1848 on Green River, Ohio, KY.
