He is mentioned in the Will of Alvin MOTHERSHEAD, written in Parish of Lunenburg, in the County of Richmond, Va.,on 3rd day of January 1734-35. It lists William (Alvin's best friend and brother in Law.) MORTON, and his 9 children and his wife Ann (Mothershead). All his 9 children are under 21. He names (my brother John MOTHERSHEAD, and my friend William MORTON, as executors of this my will, etc.) This information is found in the book "The Mothershead Family" by Marie Ray DAVIS. In Film # 0875,391 in S.L.C. Gen. Library. He is also mentioned in "Family Records" compiled by May STONE, in Louisville, Ky. Vol.III. Married to Andrew BOURNE.,1740 in Orange Co.,Va. Jane is also mentioned in the book " Hawkins Families and Connections" by Gen. John Parker HAWKINS, U.S.Army. It says she married James HAWKINS, and her father was Andrew BOURNE and her mother was Jane MORTON, dau of William MORTON.
Ann Morton is the twin sister to Jane Morton who md Andrew Bourne the brother to John Bourne III. Aunt Erlin found this information. She is listed in Ancestral File found 1993 by Judy Freeman. They have her married to Henry Bourne. They have her birth abt 1726 in Va. (could there be two Ann Morton's) They called her "Nancy".
