                       Information on James, Mattie and children came from Myrtle Lee Hill, and Mabel
    Lee Mahle, Daughter and Granddaughter.
    James R Hill nativce of Hunt Cty. Moved to Hill Cty at age of seven.
    He died at 90, found dead in the fields, from family notes.  If correct
    death date would be 1950.
    He had a 640 acre farm on Highway 380 called Hill's Ranch. May have been near
    Fort Worth, TX.
    Attended Baptist Church and was buried in old cemetary in Hillsboro.
    James R. Hill And Mattie were divorced after birth of Myrtle, and Mattie
    re-married.  Second husband treated her badly and had her put away.  James
    found out and, got her out and remarried Mattie.  They were div. for 25
    years before re-marriage.
    Most of this info from family bible.  Date of marriage and Mattie's death date
    from newspaper clipping.  James was sometimes called "Bob".

                       Mabel Lee Mahle was raised by her aunt, Myrtle Lee Hill, and Mabel remembers

    that Myrtle was twice Mabel's age when Mabel was 15.  She recalled that this
    would never happen again.   From this information I have estimated Great Aunt
    Myrtle's birth date.  Courthouse with birth records was burned down.
    Myrtle refused to use her real age, and when she applied for social security
    she used date of 8 Mar 1910.  We know this to be false as her first marriage
    was in 1910.
    Her nickname was Billie.  Death and burial dates from funeral card.  I knew her
    as Myrtle Lee Henderson.  Don't know if Lee was her middle name or her name
    from first marriage.
