Information for John P. Gelm, as he was known, and his wife, Caroline (Simon) and their family, was included in the "Genealogical and Personal History of Western Pennsylvania," p. 723, Lewis Historical Publishing Co., New York, 1915, John W. Jordan, editor-in-chief.

John Gelm (as he was known), father, Peter, and daughter, Anna, lived in Bethlehem, PA in 1883 (about 100 miles from Braddock).  -- Letter from Oke Zatterlow
