                   Could be Samuel Andrew Donaldson. There is a stone at Parkman which
credits
Samuel Donaldson with service as a private in Peck's Connecticut
Troops,
Revolutionary War. (G.#37 Not corroberated.
       Andrew Donaldson was born between 1760 and 1770 in Ireland. He
must have
come to America as a young man (if he is our soldier) and then
returned
to Ireland to marry Sally Stewart who also was born between 1760 and
1770 in
Ireland. (G.#37)
       Andrew Donaldson settled on the farm adjoining William Rutan's
upon
the north and remained twenty years or more. He removed to Parkman,
where some
of his children had gone previously. #(2) The township was Champion
in Trumbull
County, OH.

        Not long after the settlement of Thomas Moore, his
brother-in-law, James
Donaldson, a native of Ireland, bought the farm south of that Henry
Norton,
upon which he built; first, a log house, and afterwards a frame one,
in which
he resided until his death, in 1863. . .In 1815, his brother, Samuel
Donaldson,
purchased the farm adjoining, and settled on it. Both James and
Samuel were
soldiers in the war of 1812. #(H.b.687; W.a.112)
