Information obtained from "Historical Sketch of the Bright Family" by A.G.Green P11 He later moved to Greenbriar County, Virginia. He had a flour mill and sold flour to Washington's troops. "He was conducting a grist mill in Berks county at the time Washington was encamped at Vally Forge 1777-78, and that he furnished a large supply of flour to the American army at that place, that he was paid in Continental currency, which by its rapid depreciation made him bankrupt."

Information from "The Bright Family of Pennsylvania" by Margaret Gearhart. Also from page 15 of "Historical Sketch of the Bright Family." "David G. Bright moved to Botetourt County, Virginia. He was married to Miss Graham, of Fincastle, Va., in 1800. The same year he removed to Plattsburg, N.Y., by the advice of De Witt Clinton. In 1812 he changed his residence to Norwich, Chenango Co., N. Y. In 1820 he left Norwich and moved to Madison, Ind., below Cincinnati, Where he died in 1851.
