NOTES:
    Child, Elizabeth, was totally deaf. Because of this deafness, she died four days before her 16th birthday when she was hit by a train at Terra Cotta, IL (between Crystal Lake and McHenry). She arrived at Terra Cotta by train from ELgin. She did not see the second train from Chicago. Her mother was waiting in a buggy to take her home. Elizabeth did not hear the train or her mother's screams because of her hearing problems. She was thrown 50 feet. There were 70 buggies in her funeral procession.
