                   NOTES: September 2013 - This info found in "Red River Settlers"  Mantlo
    Little is known of the Mantlo family before they arrived in Robertson County, Tennessee.  The name is so similar to that of the Croatoan Indian, Manteo, that it is only natural to wonder if the Mantlo family traces through Indian blood.
    In 1933, there was an old Bible in Springfield, Tennessee, in the possession of a descendant, which contained the following entries:   (I will list only the info that pertains to the person on each PAF file)
   "Vernita Gladys Holland, born February 28 1900."

NOTES: March 2014 - Info I got from our trip Oct 2013 -  James Harold Padfield Sr. and Gladys Holland were married Sept. 24, 1922 by Dr. J. H. Padfield at the Baptist Parsonage of the 1st Baptist Church, Springfield, Tenn.
