                   NOTES: 25 Jun 2000 - In Bill Packer's book, Tennie is Tennessee Volner.
Jun 2006 - On IGI Bill Packer submitted her name as Tennie Palmer.

NOTES: March 2011 - Found Tennie Volner and A J Mantlo marriage license on ancestry.com Tennessee marriage records.
They have her as Jennie Johner and A J Mantlo, but looking at the actual record it is definitly Tennie
Volner.

NOTES: February 2015 - Tennesse Jane "Tennie" Volner was the daughter of Elias and Wilmouth Ann (Thomas) Volner who lived in the 9th District, Springfield, Robertson Co., TN (also supposedly lived in Edgefield (Nashville), Davidson Co., TN at one time). Her grandparents were William and Mary Polly (Weeks/Wix) Volner of Robertson Co., TN who moved to Union Co., Illinois ca 1852. Tennessee Jane was 1/8 Cherokee (Elias was 1/4). I have noticed on some boards and internet sites that they have Tennie's maiden name listed as "Palmer", but that is incorrect and must have been a transcription error on someone's part. I do have a deed record for her and some tax records and court records for her father, Elias, in Robertson County.

NOTES: VOLNER, TENNESSEE JANE Tennie Born 5 July 1861 in Union Co., Illinois; Married 9 March 1886 (Bk 8) in Robertson Co., TN to A. J. MANTLO. They were married by W. G. Hensley, M.G. ; she died by March 1896 when her husband remarried to Ellen E. Evalsizer.
