Notes:
NOTES: 14 April 2006 - Russ and I went to Toquerville, Utah to find who was left there on the Noorlander line and to find the cemetery where Walter is supposed to be buried. We stopped and asked a man on a horse (an old timer). He told us where to find the cemetery and where to find the one Noorlander family. He was very careful with his words. He said "I have to be very careful the way I say this, the house is on the hill right by the cemetery. It's the very un-kept one." We found the cemetery but could not find a head stone for Walter or where he is buried. Walter is uncle Jo's 8th son. We drove up the dirt road to the "very un-kept house" which was an understatement, it was a pig sty. The roof was in much need of replacement. There was junk everywhere. There were three dogs in the front un-fenced yard, so I was getting out of the car when this man came out to get the barking dogs. He said "they were mean as hell and would bit." This man about (late 20's or early 30's) was Walter's son Matthew and his wife Consuelo (Connie) Campos. They told me Walter did not have a head stone but he was buried there. His mother (Suzan Jane Halladay) and his sister (Johanna Noorlander) had just moved to Kansas. He was living in the house and was going to fix it up. Ya, I bet It needs to be burned down. There e-mail address is (noorlanders1369@Yahoo.com). They gave me Suzan's phone # (1-620-331-7728) in Independance Kansas.

NOTES: 17 April 2006 - I called Kansas and got Johanna. She said she could answer any of my questions as she was the one who did the genealogy. She told me a little about the other seven children of uncle Jo. Flora died and was buried in Hurricane. Also Flora gave her all her genealogy but it was in the closet in the house back in Toquerville. Vaneetha (Juanita) is alive the last she knew and was living with a daughter in California. Michiel was alive, (but he is not) I have a death date for him. Margaretha is living in Farmington by Lagoon with a daughter Carolyn Lamb. James is alive and lives in St George, (he lives in Ivans). Pearl she thought was alive but didn't know where. She told me she had a little "black" 15 month old son and a six year old son, and she is not married. When I asked what took them to Kansas, she said she didn't know, she and her mother just wanted a change, they were headed for North Dakota. I have a feeling after seeing the condition of the house in Toquerville and talking to Johanna the condition of the house is indicative of these people. "TRASH".

NOTES: 17 April 2006 - I decided to call James (Jim) in Ivans, he is uncle Jo's 5th child. He was a delight to talk to. He said he had nothing to do with Walter or his children. He said even though he was my brother I didn't have much to do with him, he spent most his life in and out of jail. He said "those people over there are trash, and I'm embarrassed to know them". Well that confirmed my feelings. He also told me it was Daniel (Danny) who went to Peru and showed the people how to irrigate their fields. Russ and I are going to stop and see him and his wife Darleen on Friday the 21st of April. He said I could have his stack of genealogy as he is getting old and doesn't know what to do with it all.
Russ and I did stop and visit with Jim and Darleen. It was so fun to meet him (again) after so many years. He reminds me of what I remember about uncle Jo. He did give me his genealogy. A short time later he asked for it all back.
