April 2010 - Looking on Ancestry.com in Tennessee State Marriages I found L T and Martha's marriage. NOTES: August 2013 - L T Mantlo age 29 is listed in the 1850 US Census with Sally age 28 & 4 of their children. NOTES: September 2013 - This info found in "Red River Settlers" Mantlo Little is known of the Mantlo family before they arrived in Robertson County, Tennessee. The name is so similar to that of the Croatoan Indian, Manteo, that it is only natural to wonder if the Mantlo family traces through Indian blood. In 1933, there was an old Bible in Springfield, Tennessee, in the possession of a descendant, which contained the following entries: (I will list only the info that pertains to the person on each PAF file) "Lynch T. Mantlo, born 18 March 1821."
NOTES: April 2010 - Looking on Ancestry.com in Tennessee State Marriages I found L T and Winnie's marriage. I had Willie not Winnie but she signed the certificate and it is Winnie E Huddleston.
18 Jun 2000 - In Bill Packer's book Walcia was sealed to parents 24 Mar 1962 Logan. Baptized and Endowed child. It appears Walcia and John may have died together.

16 Jun 2000 - Obituary from Bill Packer's book reads: Maggie Minett Close, 79 of Armona, died Saturday in a local hospital.. A native of Springville, Tenn., she had lived in this area 28 years. Funeral service will be held at People's Funeral Chapel Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. and burial will be in Grangeville Cemetery. Mrs. Close is survived by a stepdaughter, Edith Close Bennett of Fresno; a stepson, Everett Close of Fresno; and a sister, Mrs. Lillie Vickers of El Cerrito.
NOTES: 16 Jun 2000 - Obituary from Bill Packer's book reads: The body of George R. Mantlo, 74 , a retired San Quentin Prison guard, who died last night in Concord, has been returned to the Wilson & Kratzer Civic Center Chapel where funeral arrangements are pending. He had been confined to a Concord convalscent home following a long illness. Prior to his death he had been making his home in Hayward. Mantlo, a veteran of World War I, was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Hanford Post of the American Legion. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Vickers of Richmond and Mrs. Margaret M. Close of Hanford. A nephew, James R. Vickers resides in El Cerrito. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Wilson & Kratzer Civic Center. NOTES: Another Obituary reads: In Hayward, California, June 30 1959, George Robert Mantlo, of 215 Lake Street, Armona, California. Brother of Mrs. Lillie Vickers of Richmond, California and Mrs. Margaret M. Close of Hanford, California. Uncle of James R. Vickers of El Cerrito, California and Mrs. Edith M. Bright of Richmond, California. Grand Uncle of Mrs. Barbara Menefee and Daniel Thomas Bright both of Richmond, California; and James Thomas Vickers of El Cerrito, California. A member of the Presbyterian Church and the American Legion Post No. 3 at Hanford, California. A veteran of World War I. A native of Springfield, Tennessee aged 74 years. Friends and acquaintances are respectfully invited to attend funeral services conducted by the Reverend Sam Kleinsasser of the First Baptist Church at the Civic Center Chapel of the Wilson & Kratzer Mortuaries.
