Johannes (or Jost) Heinrich PAULUS
We only learned of this man in 1996, when I took a trip to Goddelsheim and got his name in a record book. Later, we got the entire Sippenbuch for Goddelsheim, so learned that he came from down the road in Viermunden.
I had exceptionally good luck in making contact with a man in Viermunden whose e-mail address is ggpaulus@freenet.de. He looked up some local parish records, thinks he is a relative, and provided us data for two more generations back.
At the christening, the godfather was listed as Jost Heinrich Rohleder, who was the son of Jost Reinhard Rohleder. A brother and sister were listed on the records, too.
