Death Cert.states that Margaret was 78 years old when she died in 1891 indicating that she was born in 1812-3.Died of Apoplexy 1 day.
Alexander is on the 1881 Census in Gateshead,Newcastle Upon Tyne,F 1342214, Pro Ref RG11 Piece 5037 Folio 20 page 34. Alexander had two shops, a piano shop and a grocery. Wendy Thorvaldson nee Fulton-- stated that in addition to the five sons, Anne McLennan and Alexander Fowler had seven daughters, one of whom was Catherine who married a minister of religion who was a missionary in the Congo.Wendy has a photo of them. Aug 2003. Faye Shirra believes however that the daughters were not the daughters of Ann McLennan and Alexander Fowler but of Mary McLennan and Duncan Fowler.
