'The friends of the late Mr David Round are respectfully informed that his funeral will leave his late residence, Waltham, on Sunday, at 2pm.
He was a bricklayer. He married BLanche Cox and migrated to Christchurch, New Zealand before 1873.

DAVID ROUND was baptised on 22nd April 1821 in Tipton and came to New Zealand ca. 1862, perhaps via Australia.  David married twice-the first time in England, and had a son Daniel.  In 1947, an Elijah Round of Barnsley, Yorkshire, wrote to Christchurch to acquire a copy of Davids will.  Davids second marriage was to Anne Maria Monk, a widow, at the house of William Prebble, Prebbleton on 12th July 1867.  He died on 29th November 1878 in Christchurch from a fractured skull which he suffered as a result from a fall from a cart, and was buried in the Barbadoes Street Cemetery, but there is no headstone.
