William SHIRRA

                   BIOGRAPHY: Listed in the 1881 Census, as aged 2 and a grandchild of Thomas and
Catherine Shirra, 63 Bainsford, Falkirk. No mother or father is
within the family, however William, son  of Thomas and Catherine
is listed as living with his parents and married and there is no wife
listed.  It is highly probable that this child, Cathrine Livingston,
the child of this first marriage of William Shirra, the details of
are unknown.  This William Shirra did marry later, in 1889, to Janet
Nimmo, therefore this child not of that later marriage. However, it
possible that this child, Cathrine Livingston, is the child of one of
this William Shirra's unmarried brothers ; in the 1881 Census, Thomas
aged 22 and James aged 18.
