    The ancestry of this Stephen Wilcox is given several different ways, with several different parents.  Additionally, it appears from the data that Stephen married Alice Brownell in 1714, but then married again in 1716 to Mary Randall, though William Wilcox who is born in 1717 is given as a son of Stephen Wilcox and Alice Brownell.  Further research is needed to identify which wife of Stephen Wilcox is the mother of William Wilcox, and which ancestry is correct.
