Will written: 22 Oct 1778; Recorded: 8 Mar 1779: In the name of God, Amen. I, James McConahue, being in perfect memory and senses do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following, viz., that is to say that after my just debts are paid and my loving wife has her full third of my estate that my five children, John McConahue, Samuel McConahue, Jane McConahue, Margret McConahue, shall have an equal share of all my estate as soon as each child comes of age and it shall remain in her hands until such time, and to receive their proportion at such times and they are to be maintained with her from their proportion until they come of age. My meaning is that as soon as the first child comes of age He shall receive in proportion ans in the same manner with the rest and after the death of my wife Mary McConahue her third to be equally divided between my five children and its my will and desire that my wife, Mary McConahue be my sole executrix to this my last will and testament whereunto I witness my hand and seal this twenty-second day of October, One Thousand Seven Hundred and seventy-eight.
