NOTES: 1. Samuel was a Major in the Revolutionary War.
NOTE: William Scott was a Lieutenant and Captain in the Revolutionary War. He enlisted in 1776, and went with Captain Letty (Littlebury?)Mosby Jr. in Col. Crittenden's Georgia Regiment: fought at Great Bridge, VA, was taken prisoner at Briar Creek, carried to and confined at Savannah during the seige, probably 1779. He married Ann Jones of Culpepper County, (daughter of Capt. Gabriel Jones) 1 March 1781 at Spotsylvania, VA. He and his brother Samuel left Caroline County and settled in Campbell at the close of the war. He died there 6 Oct 1818. His widow (born in 1763) died there 18 June 1846.
He married Martha Williams 2 Nov 1742 at St. Margaret's Parish, Caroline, Virginia . Martha Williams was born at of Caroline, Virginia 2 May 1727 daughter of Rice Williams and Frances Duncan .
