[Ferguson-Young-Lovan-Myers-Knott.FTW] The death of Amanda Caroline DOCKINS SAUCEMAN Boles was reported as follows in the Thursday, 17 August 1911 issue of the Howell County (M0) Gazette. "Mrs. Amanda Boles, one of the old residents of West Plains, died at her (sic) home of City Marshall T.D. Boles, Thursday evening, August 10, at 8 O'clock. Old age and complications of disease caused her death. Amanda C. Dockins was born in Kentucky in 1824. She was married to John Sauceman in Green (sic) County, Tennessee, in 1843. To this union two sons were born, George Sauceman who is now a Methodist minister in Cock (sic) County, Tennessee, and John Sauceman, of Tarkio, Mo. The later, accompanied by his wife, was here to attend the funeral. In 1846 the first husband of deceased died and two years later she married Daniel Boles. Six sons and three daughters blessed their home, one of whom died in infancy. In 1874 Mrs. Boles professed religion and united with the Methodist Church, in which faith she has always been a consistent member, Her husband died in this city (*) in 1880 and since that time she has made her home with her son T.D. Boles.
