                   NOTE:
Both the Census Records and Christiane's death record list her second surname as "Faf", not Roff.

NAME:
    ROFF aka FAF

From a report by Marian Coleman, 16 apr 2002, for NewbyK:

CHRISTIANE SOPHIE ANDREASEN ROFF (17:7)
(part of a larger project which included other non-ancestors)... With the time remaining, the ancestry of Christiane Sophie Andreasen Roff (17:7) appeared promising. Even though she was from Hjorring Amt, where most records were extracted over thirty years ago, the time period looked very workable.
The Ordinance Index was searched for the family of Christen Christensen (17:6) and Christine Sophie Andreasen Faff (Doc 12). No individual entry was available for Christine Sophie, and there was no exact marriage date for the couple. The couple had been sealed in 1962, so the Archive sheet was obtained (Doc 13).
This record matched your data. The family had originated in Lendum, Hjorring, Denmark, after which, they had moved west, to Taars. The Lendum records were examined and little new information was found. The two exceptions included: Christiane was not called FAFF, she was consistently called Christiane Sophie ROFF. Magrarethe Dortheas christening record was enlarged and copied so you could see how clear her mothers name was. We note that Margaretha Dorthea (17:3) was born one year earlier than your records stated, but was the same as on the Archive record (Doc 14).
This record stated:

Margrethe Dorthea, of Lengholme Molle, Christen CHRISTENSEN and Christiane Sophie ROFFs (child) was christened on 21 November 1802. The witnesses were Lars Larsens maid, of Lengholm, Niels Christensen, of Bremose, Anne Jensdatter, of Lengsholm and Kirsten Nielsdatter, of Lengsholm.

Christen had been born at Bremose, where his family remained.
The Nielsen witnesses were probably his siblings. There were no Andreasens nor Roffs at any of the childrens christenings, and there was no marriage for the couple in Lendum. Due to the fact that there was no marriage record, and because of the lack of maternal relatives at the childrens christenings, it appears that Christiane Sophie was born elsewhere, possibly not even nearby.
The military Levying rolls of Lendum were then searched, with the hope that they would follow Christen back to his marriage place. The regular, or complete roll for 1803, did not contain your Christen Christensen (17:6), so the supplementary rolls were searched back from 1802 to 1799. They showed men who had come into the parish, or boys who had been born in each preceding year. Christen was not on any roll.
Finally, in 1798, Christen was listed as 22 years of age, living at Bremose. His name had been crossed out, showing that he had performed his required service from 1776 to 1778, apparently there in the parish. There was no indication he had been sent to another parish.
Christen must have gone searching for a wife after 1798. There were no outgoing, or incoming records to show where he had gone. All of the neighboring parishes have been extracted and there was no mention of the marriage on the Ordinance Index.
The 1801 Census records of Lendum and some of its neighboring parishes were searched. Christens parents and siblings were found in Bremose, but your Christen was not with them. He was not found in the neighboring villages of Lendum either. Likewise, he and Christiane Sophie were not listed in the parishes of Skaerum, Hormsted, or Taars. We did not look further at this time.
