Also paid taxes on a distellery valued $200. 18 Apr 1835: St. Joseph Co IN records show he purchased Lot 8, South Bend IN for $200. His residence at that time was Montgomery Co OH. 19 Mar 1835: Purchased Lot 27, Town of South Bend for $775, witness George Replogle (unknown, possibly his son). 30 Oct 1835: Purchased Lot 53 at South Bend. 1837: "Jacob... migrated to Ohio from where he moved in 1837 to South Bend, IN.." 1 May 1839: He and Elizabeth sold land to Joshua Davis. 20 May 1839: Purchased Lot 9 Southern Addition of South Ben d. 1840: Jacob resided St. Joseph Co IN age 60-70, his wife age 60-70, a male age 80-90 (unknown); Jacob's sons George, Rinehart, and Daniel in their own homes; and, a Peter Replogle in his own home (son of John , Sr. and gr.son of John Rinehart.) 1840: A person named Jacob Reprogle resided Adams Twp (Champaign Co) OH [age 50-60], Manufacturer. After 1840: Jacob died. "We have no death date for Jacob, but have location 'South Bend, IN. He must have died between 1840 and 1850."
