John Baltes Boucher left Bad Neuheim Germany (near Munster) and floated down the Rhine river to embark for America from Rotterdam Holland abord the ship Alexander and Ann. They arrived at the port of entry in 1740 and settled in Lancanster County, Pa in 1747. The German name was changed by the clerks in the courthouses to Booher. Later they came to Southwest Virgina, settling in Wythe County. John's daughter Mary, married Martin's son. Then the families moved to Tennessee. John Bucher sent his 2 sons Barthalomew and Peter to be with their grandfather, who arrived in Philadelphia in 1727. They arrived in 1739. He later came to the U.S. arriving in 1746. His wife died in Germany and he married Miss Rhoda Ann and had 3 children Martin, John and Adam Balgas Booher... Further research is needed on Balgas Booher, the second in line. It is possible that he didn't come to this country until later, and sent his sons Bartholomew and Peter to join their grandfather,Nicholas. Bartholomew and Peter arrived in Philadelphnia 3 Sep, 1739 on the Loyal Judith from Rotterdam, but last from deal in England. This isf rom Pennsylvania German Pioneers, 1.266. Johan Baltes Booher arrived 27 Sept 1746. 360 John is the Johan Baltes Butzer who is registered on the ship Ann Galley and landed in Baltimore MD on Septr 27 1746.

After looking at the material, I will leave it to the discretion of the reader if they want to pursue this line further. I Have entered it for the purpose of the database being as complete as possible. Since he appears on the tax rolls in1779 and 1783, in Manheim Township, York County, PA, he appears to have passed away after 3 April 1805
